What is SPLASH coaching and how does it work?

A series of 6 steps designed to make you act. Each step is a coaching session of 1 hour length, either in person or via Skype or telephone. Before each session you prepare with a worksheet so the session is focused. Alternatively you can do it on your own, based on the worksheets.

SPLASH is an acronym which describes the sequence of the 6 steps:

  1. Scout: Find out where you are, where you want to be, what your mission is.
  2. Plan: Plot your course on your map. Write down what you will do.
  3. Level: Overcome hurdles. If there is a wall tunnel it, smash it, jump over it.
  4. Act: Now is the time! All steps before and after this one only support your action.
  5. Strategize: There is nothing like experience. You have acted, now its time to plan ahead.
  6. High Five: You overcame resistance. Celebrate, enjoy the feeling and keep moving.

The chinese strategist Sun Tzu said in “The Art Of War”: “Though we have heard of stupid haste in war, cleverness has never been associated with long delays”. In other words its better to take action and accepting the risk of not being perfect that to contemplate eternally.
